These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of Tarrant County Public Records at tarrantcountypublicrecords.com (the “Site”). By accessing or using the Site, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Site.
1. Independent informational website
This site is not affiliated with any government agency. We provide related public-records information for general reference only; information may not be complete or fully accurate.
The Site is a privately operated informational website. It is not owned, operated, endorsed, or sponsored by any federal, state, county, city, court, clerk, sheriff, police department, or other government body. Official seals, agency names, or links to government websites do not imply affiliation or endorsement.
2. Description of the service
The Site publishes general guides, summaries, screenshots, statistics, and links related to public records topics (including inmate, arrest, court, vital, property, and similar subjects). The Site does not operate a live jail database, does not maintain official government case files, and does not guarantee that any person appears (or does not appear) in any official system.
Search forms on the Site may redirect you to third-party lookup tools or commercial services. We do not control those services, their pricing, billing, results, availability, or practices.
3. Not a consumer reporting agency (FCRA)
The Site is not a consumer reporting agency as defined by the Fair Credit Reporting Act (“FCRA”), 15 U.S.C. § 1681 et seq. We do not provide “consumer reports” and are not a “consumer reporting agency” for FCRA purposes.
You agree that you will not use the Site or any information obtained through it for any purpose that would require FCRA compliance, including decisions about employment, tenant screening, credit, insurance, or other regulated eligibility determinations.
4. Permitted uses
You may use the Site only for lawful, personal, and informational purposes, such as researching publicly available topics for your own reference, subject to all applicable federal, state, and local laws.
5. Prohibited uses
You agree that you will not use the Site or any information obtained through it to:
- Make employment decisions, including hiring, promotion, reassignment, retention, or termination;
- Screen tenants or make housing-related eligibility decisions;
- Evaluate creditworthiness or make lending, insurance, or financial eligibility decisions;

- Misrepresent your identity, affiliation, or the source of information obtained from the Site;
- Republish Site content as if it were an official government publication.
6. Accuracy, completeness, and no warranty
Public records, third-party databases, screenshots, Census or crime statistics, and other materials shown on or linked from the Site may be incomplete, outdated, inaccurate, duplicated, sealed, restricted, or incorrectly associated with a person. Government systems change without notice. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, timeliness, availability, or reliability of any information on or through the Site.
An arrest, booking, charge, warrant listing, or similar record is not evidence of guilt. Only a court can convict. Always verify outcomes, sealed records, and current status with the appropriate official agency.
THE SITE AND ALL CONTENT ARE PROVIDED ON AN “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” BASIS WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SITE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE.
7. No professional advice
Nothing on the Site constitutes legal, financial, investigative, medical, immigration, or other professional advice. No attorney-client, fiduciary, or confidential relationship is created by your use of the Site. Consult a licensed professional and confirm facts with official sources before taking any action.
8. Third-party content, affiliates, and links
The Site may include links to government websites, court portals, commercial people-search or public-records services, advertising, and affiliate partners. We may receive compensation when you click certain links or complete transactions with third parties.
We do not endorse and are not responsible for third-party content, policies, pricing, billing, data practices, security, or results. Your use of third-party services is at your sole risk and subject to their terms and privacy policies. Any dispute regarding a third-party product or charge must be resolved with that third party.
9. Intellectual property
The Site’s layout, branding, design, and original text are owned by or licensed to the Site operator and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, scrape, mirror, redistribute, or create derivative works from the Site except as allowed by law or with prior written consent. Screenshots and third-party marks remain the property of their respective owners and are shown for informational reference only.
10. Privacy
Your use of the Site is also governed by our Privacy Policy.
11. Assumption of risk
You assume all risk arising from your use of the Site and from any reliance on information obtained through the Site, including decisions you make after visiting third-party websites.
12. Limitation of liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE SITE OPERATOR AND ITS OWNERS, AFFILIATES, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, CONTRACTORS, AGENTS, AND PARTNERS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, GOODWILL, BUSINESS OPPORTUNITY, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF (OR INABILITY TO USE) THE SITE, ANY CONTENT ON THE SITE, OR ANY THIRD-PARTY SERVICE LINKED FROM THE SITE, WHETHER BASED IN CONTRACT, TORT, STRICT LIABILITY, OR OTHERWISE, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE SITE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US, IF ANY, FOR ACCESS TO THE SITE IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM, OR (B) ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS (US $100).
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in those jurisdictions, our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.
13. Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless the Site operator and its owners, affiliates, officers, employees, contractors, and agents from and against any claims, demands, actions, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of or related to: (a) your use of the Site; (b) your reliance on any information obtained through the Site; (c) your use of third-party services reached via the Site; (d) your violation of these Terms; or (e) your violation of any law or third-party right.
14. Suspension and termination
We may suspend, restrict, or terminate access to the Site at any time, with or without notice, for any reason, including suspected violation of these Terms or to protect the Site, users, or our business. Provisions that by their nature should survive will survive termination.
15. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which the Site operator is located, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where mandatory consumer protection law applies. You agree to attempt to resolve disputes informally before filing a claim. To the extent permitted by law, you waive any right to participate in a class action related to the Site.
16. Severability and entire agreement
If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Site and supersede prior understandings on the same subject.
